# Priority Fee

### **What is a Priority Fee?**

The **Priority Fee** helps speed up transactions by rewarding validators for processing your trade faster. This is crucial during high-traffic periods or when trading popular tokens.

### **Recommended Priority Fee Settings**

* **Solana (SOL Priority Fee)**:
  * **0.0001 - 0.0005 SOL** → Low urgency.
  * **0.001 - 0.01 SOL** → High-priority transactions.
* **EVM Networks - Gwei Priority Fee**:
  * **1-5 Gwei** → Standard priority.
  * **5-20 Gwei** → High priority for fast execution.
  * **20+ Gwei** → For highly competitive transactions.

### **When to Increase the Priority Fee?**

* **High network congestion** (e.g., during a token launch).
* **Competing for a limited supply of tokens.**
* **Executing large trades where timing is critical.**

Using **dynamic priority fees** ensures your transaction is processed efficiently without overspending on fees.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.flashx.ai/buy-sell-settings/priority-fee.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
